Seanchoíche Dublin | Irish Deaf Society

As part of International Week of Deaf People, Seanchoíche (pronounced Shanna-Key-Huh), our storytelling night, is coming back for the second time to DUBLIN in September, on September 26th, for a very special night in collaboration with the Irish Deaf Society.

We're bringing people together for a night of stories, connection, and community, and this one is close to our heart. As one of the Irish Deaf Society's main events during International Week of Deaf People, our focus is on making sure the night is fully accessible and Deaf-friendly from start to finish.

Every story will be told in Irish Sign Language (ISL) or interpreted into ISL, so whether you're Deaf, hard of hearing, or hearing, you'll be able to share in every moment. Seanchoíche has always been about the simple magic of people telling their stories, and this time we get to do it in a way that welcomes everyone into the room.

Come along for an evening of honesty, laughter, and the kind of stories that stay with you. Bring yourself, bring a friend, and be part of something special.

Every Seanchoíche is worth remembering, so we bring a camera. Photos and video from the night help us share what these evenings feel like, but not everyone wants to be in shot, and that's okay. Quiet word with any of us and you'll stay out of frame. In privacy policy.
